Ruth Coalson Drives Innovative Disney-Marvel “Astro Assemble” STEM Project for Royal Observatory Greenwich

The Royal Observatory Greenwich, in collaboration with Disney is thrilled to announce the upcoming launch of “Astro Assemble”, a groundbreaking interactive educational platform designed to inspire young people nationwide in STEM subjects.

Independent consultant and renowned Project Manager, Ruth Coalson, has been instrumental in the delivery of this innovative initiative, which combines the scientific expertise of Royal Observatory Greenwich astronomers with the beloved storytelling and characters of Marvel.

The “Astro Assemble” project, set to roll out for the KS3 curriculum, aims to make science fundamentals exciting and relevant by leveraging gamification within the national curriculum. It directly addresses the critical need to encourage young people from all backgrounds to pursue STEM education, using the inspiring context of space to increase engagement and foster lasting interest.
